In the context of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it may be necessary to isolate components emitting unwanted electromagnetic radiations from the others. To achieve this, it is possible to put a layer of absorbing material directly on the emitting component, which will prevent the transmission of unwanted waves. HYMAG'IN's absorbing materials can fulfill this need.

To prevent the emission of electromagnetic waves, two phenomenons can happen in a material:

  • concentrating the waves in the material, preventing their tansmission
  • converting the waves in thermal energy with electromagnetic losses

These two phenomenons reduce the electromagnetic noise, expressed in dB, on a broad bandwidth.
