Milliwave, filament spool for 3D-printed shielding from 50 to 100 GHz

MILLIWAVE is a range of lightweight shielding polymers designed for millimeter-wave applications from 50 to 100 GHz (from E band to W band). Available in filaments and pellets, it provides high-performance attenuation for automotive radar, satcom and next-generation 5G/6G systems, where conventional shielding materials reach their frequency limits.

Traditional metallic shields reflect electromagnetic waves, creating internal resonances and electromagnetic noise. Lowra dissipates part of the energy as heat.

Unlike metal, which mainly reflects the incident wave, Lowra partly absorbs and slightly transmits it, reducing the amount of energy reflected inside the enclosure.

 

This ensures:

  • Fewer standing waves inside enclosures.
